Dr Jonathan Maunoury

Jonathan Maunoury is currently a post-doctoral research associate at OMIC where his involves processing and testing new organic semiconductors in electronic devices such as organic field effect transistors (OFETs).

Prior to his post-doc appointment he recently completed his PhD under the supervision of Prof. M.L. Turner on the design, synthesis and testing of “Liquid crystalline semiconductors for OFETs”. Electron deficient liquid crystalline oligomers based on heterocycles were prepared and evaluated in OFETs, and a new process based on melting and aligning liquid crystals was successfully developed to fabricate OFETs (see Figure 1).

Dr Maunoury holds a “Diplôme d’ingénieur chimiste” (MPhil in chemistry) from ENSCM, Montpellier. During his graduate studies, he spent a year in industry at Avecia Research Centre, Manchester, UK, working with Dr J. Veres and Dr R. Anemian on amorphous organic semiconductors.
