Raymundo Marcial Hernandez

Raymundo Marcial Hernandez was born in Oaxaca, Mexico. He obtained his BSc in Chemistry from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) in 2012. He completed his MSc in Chemistry in 2014 at the Institute of Research in Materials, UNAM (Mexico). In his masters project he worked on “Syntheses of polymers based on ninhydrin and aromatic compounds by superacid catalyst” under the supervision of Dr. Mikhail Zolotukhin. He focused on the syntheses of new materials and possible applications as gas permeation membranes. After his MSc Studies he started to work in the University Ibero-American as a staff member. Raymundo started his PhD in November 2015 under the supervision of Prof. Michael Turner and Dr. Michael Ingleson. His PhD project is focused on the synthesis of novel monomers and the development of new synthetic routes to obtain conjugated polymers.
