Josue Ayuso Carrillo

Josue Ayuso Carrillo was born in the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico, in 1983. He graduated from the University of Yucatan (Mexico) in Chemical Engineering in 2007. After spending two years as a teacher and research assistant in Mexico he started a Master degree in Molecular Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Alcala and the Autonomous University of Madrid (Spain) in 2010. In June 2012, he started his PhD in Chemistry at the University of Manchester under the supervision of Dr Michael Ingleson and Prof Michael Turner. His PhD project is entitled “Lower cost, more efficient, and less toxic synthetic routes to conjugated polymers”, and he is currently developing novel strategies for challenging targets, such as polythiophenes.
